With roots dating back to 1890, AMC is today one of the leading players in food supply on Saint Barthélemy. Founded in its current form by Alain Magras in 1987, AMC specializes in the import, storage, and distribution of food products for professionals in the hospitality, restaurant, and yachting industries, as well as for local retailers and individuals. Thanks to its network of suppliers and its logistics expertise, it ensures a reliable supply chain in the demanding environment of an island. With nearly 2,000 m² of storage space and equipment designed for the cold chain, AMC contributes daily to the quality of service and the appeal of Saint Barthélemy. In 2025, a new chapter in its history began with the company’s acquisition by Patrice Magras and Irvine Houet. As the son of Alain Magras, Patrice Magras ensures the continuity of the family legacy and drives the company’s strategic vision. Committed to the values that have built AMC’s success, he guides the company’s development while ensuring that its identity, quality of service, and local roots—the company’s greatest strengths—are preserved. Working alongside him, Irvine Houet brings fresh energy and solid operational expertise. Coming from a family involved in the development of commerce in Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy, he helped expand the Monoprix chain in those territories. This experience has enabled him to acquire extensive expertise in business management, customer relations, logistics, and team management, which he now applies to AMC’s growth. Building on its heritage, its teams, and this complementary leadership structure, AMC continues to grow in support of Saint-Barthélemy’s economy.
